Digitalization carried out by PT Pertamina (Persero) in all business lines has strengthened energy security to the remote areas of the country. One of Pertamina's digitalization implementations is in the Pertamina Digital Hub, or previously called the 'Pertamina Integrated Enterprise Data and Command Center' (PIEDCC). In one area of this Digital Hub, the entire energy supply process from upstream to downstream can be monitored effectively and in real-time.
The performance of Pertamina Digital Hub has proven effective. It is felt in the provision of energy during Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025, where Pertamina must serve the surge in needs of the Indonesian people both for driving and providing energy for various other activities.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, said that Pertamina Digital Hub is an important part of Pertamina's digital transformation so that it can ensure the availability of energy, including subsidized fuel, throughout Indonesia. "All business processes are visible so that operations are always maintained. Even on the distribution side, we can process around 15 million subsidized fuel transaction data per day and with digitalization, data processing can be right on target," explained Fadjar.
With more efficient business management, Fadjar added, digitalization is the main key in driving the achievement of national energy self-sufficiency. Moreover, Pertamina's distribution infrastructure is located throughout Indonesia to remote areas reaching more than 15,000 points, such as BBM, LPG and Avtur terminals, BBM and LPG sales networks such as gas stations, LPG agents and bases, to the furthest distribution points, namely BBM Satu Harga, Pertashop, and One Village One Outlet (OVOO) as LPG sales outlets in each village.
"Pertamina has a distribution system, infrastructure network and technology throughout Indonesia, all of which are controlled digitally. With digital implementation, we can always serve all Indonesian people faster and more precisely," said Fadjar. He added that Pertamina's digitalization not only strengthens energy security but also supports efficiency. This efficiency is obtained through various initiatives, including digitalization, cost savings, more effective budget management, and the creation of additional income.
"Efficiency plays an important role in supporting operational effectiveness, positive company performance and realizing Pertamina as a world-class energy company," said Fadjar.
Pertamina as a leading company in the energy transition sector, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuing to encourage programs that have a direct impact on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). All of these efforts are in line with the implementation of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) across all of Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
