Weidmüller

Weidmüller's 'WMF' family of terminal blocks – simple and precise routing and distribution in process engineering plants and power generation facilities. – World renowned, robust and uncomplicated connectivity. – Plug and Play routing. – Terminal blocks f

With its 'WMF' family (Weidmüller Multi Function) Weidmüller is presenting a new multifunctional family of terminal blocks to enable simple and precise routing and distribution of signals in process engineering plants and power generation facilities. Boasting a design width of just 5 mm these space-saving terminal blocks combine different functions in a single module -– feed-through, fusing and disconnect functions. Further advantages of this system include an integrated shield or PE connection, three cross-connection channels as well as connections to accommodate 'BLZ' connectors. In conjunction with pre-assembled cable sets and terminated 'BLZ' connectors routing and distributing is a simple matter of Plug and Play. 'WMF' terminal blocks are equipped with world renowned, vibration proof and maintenance-free clamping yoke (screw) connections as well as extensive marking options to facilitate identification of electrical equipment. Users can also take advantage of Weidmüller's diverse programme of accessories to adapt the 'WMF' family of products to achieve the best possible solution for their application.

MAPLESOFT

Mathematics software, Maple, is used by Renault to estimate the risk of an engine seizing

Renault’s Mechanical Engineering Department has developed a Maple model that describes the general behaviour of a lubricated mechanical system, to predict engine seizure. This type of modelling, known as 0D-1D modelling, concentrates on describing physical behaviour over time. In this way, the manufacturer is able to avoid the additional costs, estimated at between 1 and 2 million euros, which arise when the first prototype of an engine exhibits a tendency to seize.

ARC INFORMATIQUE

SECHE ENVIRONNEMENT Group chooses PcVue

The SECHE Group and its subsidiary TREDI have chosen ARC Informatique’s PcVue to set the future standard for its plants, including household and industrial waste incineration plants, and biogas power plants. Since its first deployment in 2005, it can now be found in 16 plants and workshops, representing more than 500,000 variables being processed, applied and logged by PcVue.

AOD® - Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps

Patented, Oil-Less, Stall-Free Design, the Price Pump AOD® is a great utility pump for numerous industrial applications, when the fluid is difficult to handle. Wherever compressed air is available, AOD® enables to solve many pumping problem.

ARNOLD UMFORMTECHNIK

REMFORM screw reduce the cost of plastic components assembly

Remform screws from Arnold Umformtechnik GmbH & Co. reduce the overall assembly cost of plastic parts as they do not require nuts or inserts. They furthermore ensure the highest levels of assembly security, due to a specific design that creates a large difference between the forming torque and the stripping torque. The main application of REMFORM for plastic parts assembly is the automotive industry.

PcVue 9.0 installed in the new Data Centre for TelecityGroup France.

Systems integrator ETDE has chosen PcVue 9.0 from ARC Informatique to monitor the electricity distribution and air conditioning systems for the entire range of installations at TelecityGroup’s new Data Centre in the Paris region. The software’s openness and the simple hierarchy used for the communication architecture were determining factors in this choice. PcVue can, as part of its functions, generate reports on the electricity consumption by each of the servers operated by TelecityGroup’s customers.

CIAT equips the Bluebox building in Geneva with its HEE technology

The installation of 230 COADIS 2 – HEE (High Energy Efficiency) cassette type comfort units has made a major contribution to Bluebox being the first building in the world fitted with this type of equipment to be awarded a MINERGIE® label. The use of brushless motors means that the comfort units can work at variable speed and constantly adapt themselves to the exact needs of the building.

PROSOFT TECHNOLOGY EMEA

ProSoft Technology® enlarges its 802.11n range of solutions with two new dual-radio Industrial HotspotsTM

ProSoft Technology® has developed 2 new Automation-Class industrial 802.11n solutions. These are dual-radio Industrial HotspotsTM. One is water-tight (IP67). Both enlarge the option given to Automation Engineers for high-speed wireless networks. Dual-radio solutions will allow longer distances, better performances while repeaters are involved, and allow 2 channels to be used simultaneously (for example: one for the automation application, while the other one can be used for maintenance purpose, without impacting the application)...
